She sings, she acts and she has emerged as the newest rock goddess. She is Taylor Momsen, the star of US television series Gossip Girl, and the stunning front woman of The Pretty Reckless.In 2010, The Pretty Reckless released their debut album Light Me Up and promptly took off on a world tour lasting two years, which showcased their hard rock meets post-grunge sound, as they earned their live stripes supporting the likes of Guns N’Roses and Marilyn Manson. They returned to the studio, the famed Water Music Studio in New Jersey, in September 2012 to begin work on their second album. Recording was well advanced when Hurricane Sandy destroyed the studio, the band’s gear and all their recordings. Devastated, the group started from zero and quickly penned the song Going to Hell, which also provided the name for the album, which will be released in March. Speaking to Rolling Stone late last year, Momsen said: “Rock and roll needs to make a resurgence.” – the fresh-faced revival begins on the Scène du Lac on the opening night of Caribana 2014.
