For her last performance in Paris, Kenzo dressed up Christine and The Queens for an outdoor summer festival in front of the Paris City Hall. On stage, Christine and The Queens works with Cathy Ematchoua, M.I.A.’s choreographer on “Bad Girls“ music video.
CHRISTINE AND THE QUOTES
NME blog “From the established to the altogether brand new, Christine and the Queens are something of an unknown commodity but what they’ve committed to recorded sound and video thus far is enigmatic and strangely alluring, a mixture of torch songs and understatedly sophisticated dance tracks. Their first EP, ‘NUIT 17 À 52’ is due in June, but you’ll not have to wait until then when there’s an appearance at The Great Escape just around the corner.“
LIVERPOOL ECHO blog : “Parisian Christine is one of the fine examples of hidden diamonds buried within Sound City's expansive line up. Her hook-laden shimmering pop has the immediacy of Robyn with the guile of Chairlift. Mixing performance, video and stunning live shows, the setting of the Kazimier Gardens should provide a perfect backdrop to her glistening electronic pop gems.“
